Men have far fewer options than women in terms of fashion status symbols (unfortunately an orange Kelly bag or the red soles of Christian Louboutin stilettos are not a choice for most). So imagine our excitement at The Daily for style-conscious men when we heard about a decadent piece from Italian tailors and style connoisseurs, Ermenegildo Zegna, who celebrate their 100th anniversary this year. To fete this occasion, the company launched a limited edition collection, the highlight being the Centennial Watch made in collaboration with Swiss watch-maker Girard-Perregaux. A delicate rose gold face is fastened to the wrist by a jet-black alligator strap, perfectly combining luxury and beauty with manly-practicality. In terms of status symbol likeliness? Rest assured your place will be safe, since only 100 pieces were made. How very a propos.
