We'll Take Ten

Comments | | Print

It's not every day that Chic hears a (potentially) hit single from a group of 10-year-old boys. We're not writing figuratively! Concrete Jungle, a rock band comprised of four Tribeca fourth-graders----Ben Acker (drums/vocals), Jack Krupp (bass guitar), Jasper Harris (guitar), and Max Harris (guitar/vocals)---has just released its first music video for "No One Goes Nowhere," seen above (please watch, if only for the limo scene). The band is performing tonight (before dinner!) at 5:30 at the Reade Street Pub, 135 Reade, between Hudson and Greenwich. It is, the poster claims, an "all ages show." The only reason we even heard of this group is thanks to Krupp Group founder Cindy Krupp, whose son Jack rocks out regularly. We hear the songwriting is a "collaborative" process, and it's all original. Check them out before they disperse for the summer (i.e. go to camp). You won't regret it. They'll be back in September for the beginning of 5th grade, and a few more gigs.
