Tori Praver turns 24 today, and there are plenty of reasons of why you should remember this San Diego-native’s name. She recently made a splash at the Grand Palais in Cannes, permanently moved to New York (her family and friend base is still in Hawaii, where she grew up) and she continues work on her successful swimwear collection. After debuting at Miami Swim last year, Praver will once again showcase her collection in South Beach in July. “I wanted to create designs that are more democratic in a way---I love when mother and daughter both wear my product,” she says of her line. “I want my line to appeal to both young girls and more mature women.” And so far, it’s working: Intermix, Alice + Olivia, Scoop and the Webster have all picked up her pieces.
