The First "It" Bag(uette) Hits The Web
The first "It" bag(uette) popularized by SATC resurfaced this year with the 15th anniversary and the Fendi Baguette book. The French loaf (yes, that's what it was named after) glory continues today with the launch of an online pop-up shop, making the Baguette available for the first time on its e-commerce boutique. Not pay day yet? Don't fret! There are endless browsing options including a preview of the Geometrica Baguette and Karl Lagerfeld’s Baguette sketches. Feeling crafty? No need to buy a Fendi when you can create your own with a Baguette needlepoint embroidery kit. As if the anniversary wasn't glorious enough, as part of the online launch, artist Maurizio Anzeri created a one-of-a-kind Baguette for the Fendi archives and an accompanying portrait of Silvia Venturini Fendi debuting on Style.com. Carrie Bradshaw would be proud!
