'The Esquire' brings Ronson, Rao's, and More to The Bowery
What happens when Esquire takes up temporary residence with its readers far south of its Hearst HQ? "The Esquire," a three-part affair at The Bowery Hotel, kicked off Saturday night with stiff libations (including a potent sip named after the event), Mark Ronson on DJ duty, and nibbles from Rao's (grilled fennel FTW; meatballs, a close second). To do: Sidling up to the trio of bars for whiskey-doused cocktails, ducking out onto that terrace (heat lamps? J'adore!) or the Lufthansa lounge-y area (fireplaces? Equally as lovely!), and enjoying a Ronson in his element. Sunday brought a football bash complete with noshes and tablet-based holiday shopping, while last night was a gourmand's wildest dream, aptly titled "The Greatest Meal Ever Cooked" with a half-dozen courses by the likes of Tom Coliccio, Michael White, Momofuku Milk Bar's Christina Tosi, and the Torrisi folks. Hopefully we'll all have recovered by the time "The Esquire," take deux, hits the town...
