Sonia Rykiel may be known as the queen of knitwear, but the designer is now trying her hand at a different artistic medium. Works in pencil, markers, and pastels make up the first-ever exhibition and private sale of sketches by Rykiel, which will go on display June 4 at the Galerie Catherine Houard in Paris. Over 20 drawings, private sketches and notes will be on display in the 6^th arrondissement (in the heart of St. Germain des Prés, less than a block away from Rykiel’s Left Bank flagship). The show runs from June 4 through July 24.
