Sofield in the Sky
American Express Skybox overlooking the runways at Lincoln Center, designed by Bill Sofield for Architectural DigestView Gallery
Interior guru Bill Sofield has designed boutiques around the world for the likes of Tom Ford, Bottega Veneta, Yves St. Laurent, and Gucci—but his latest project is taking him straight to Lincoln Center. The designer has been tapped by American Express and Architectural Digest to design the interior of the American Express Skybox, a venue in the tents overlooking the runways of Lincoln Center. Featuring a lantern originally commissioned for Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and created by a protégé of Louis Comfort Tiffany, the Skybox is nearly as chic as what will be coming down the runways.
