Slimane-Horyn Antics' Next Stop? Twitter, Obvi!

From full-page WWD ads to the Twittersphere, the Cathy Horyn drame continues to unfold! Just 24 hours since Horyn's Saint Laurent review, Hedi Slimane is firing back, taking to Twitter to write an open letter to the New York Times' critic. The headline, written in a NYT-esque font, reads “My Own Times” with the sub-head “Miss Cathy, Freedom of the Press.” The designer's digs? Slimane calls Horyn “a schoolyard bully and also a little bit of a standup comedian." Zing! He then took a stab at the Bare Blass memoir she edited, her self promoting, as well as her personal style, calling it “seriously challenged.”  Next up, Slimane clarifies her future with Saint Laurent: Cathy will “never get a seat at Saint Laurent but might get a 2 for 1 at Dior.” If Horyn's partiality towards Raf Simons wasn't already evident, Slimane has now aired it for all. How to wrap up a trash-talking Tweet? With a shameless plug for the new Saint Laurent site, of course!
