Schiaparelli Hits Up Inès De La Fressange
Today, in things you may have missed amid all the Paris Fashion Week antics: Schiaperelli continues its redux! Sure, the stats say that "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" didn't have the same fervor as the “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” Met exhibit, but the house of Schiaparelli doesn't seem fazed: Former Chanel muse Inès de la Fressange may be just the iconic boost the brand needs to step back into the limelight. After closing up shop in 1954, the label relaunched in May under the ownership of Diego Della Valle with Farida Khelfa as spokeswoman and de la Fressange as a consultant. The anticipation is building as Chic continues to wait for the nomination of a creative director and the reveal of the February 2013 collection.
