Rainforest Revelry at Kiehl’s
Step inside the doors of any Kiehl’s boutique and you'll be transported to a place where nature reigns. (Really.) So what better venue to fête the 40th anniversary of Earth Day than the brand's flagship store on Third Avenue? Friends including Malia Jones, Parker Posey, and Shiri Appleby stepped out to toast Kiehl’s limited edition Label Art Series designed by Julianne Moore, Jeff Koons, Pharrell Williams and Malia Jones, and 100% of Kiehl’s net profits up to $200,000 will benefit the Rainforest Alliance.
Guests sipped on berry cocktails, munched on tapenade and crostini, and swayed to everything from Motown to the Ting Tings selected by DJ Taryn Manning. The campaigns---featuring a grinning Koons spraying a bottle of Acai Damage-Protecting Toning Mist--provided the decor. All of the photos were taken by David LaChapelle. “He brought the campaign to life in such a fantastic way," said Kiehl’s president Chris Salgardo between spritzes of toning mist. “I spritz in the morning, before I moisturize. I spritz in the afternoon when I need a lift, and I spritz in the evening after I wash my face. Three spritzes every day!”
