(NEW YORK) May appears to be a bad news, good news month for P.R. Consulting and its chef, Pierre Rougier. After losing Balenciaga as a client after twelve years of collaboration, Rougier is rumored to have been tapped as the chief U.S. PR guru for Yves Saint Laurent, starting with the brand’s June 3 resort presentation. Although he has already been quietly consulting with the company for five months...

Mary Fontamillas, who served as PR director at Yves Saint Laurent for the Americas, joined Michael Kors as vice president of public relations last month and has not been replaced. The YSL U.S. press office appears to have remained fully intact, and Rougier is expected to work in partnership with Victoria Gaccione (YSL's American public relations manager), among others.
