(NEW YORK) The annual New Yorkers For Children Fall Gala is an event no doubt already etched into the Smythson calendars of the social set, but this year, it’s getting a particularly glitzy touch. Circa, the largest buyer of jewelry in the United States, has just signed on as the presenting sponsor of the event, which benefits youth in foster care in New York City. The Gala will take place on September 21 at Cipriani 21, complete with cocktails, dinner, a live auction by Jamie Niven of Sotheby’s, and a musical performance (last year, Ne-Yo took the stage, while in 2008 both Lupe Fiasco and Patti LaBelle were the evening's entertainment). Co-chairs for this year’s event include Henry and Vanessa Cornell, Oscar de la Renta, Susan and Tony Gilroy, Tina and Peter Harf, Kevin and Erika Liles, and Shirin von Wulffen and Frédéric Fekkai, while Beth Rudin DeWoody, Alina Cho, Julie Macklowe, and Stephanie Wolkoff are among the vice chairs.
