(NEW YORK) After 16 years of prettifying girls everywhere, NARS Cosmetics announced today that it will open its very first flagship boutique in the West Village. The cosmetics line started when Francois Nars sold twelve shades of lipsticks at Barneys New York in the mid-'90s, and by 1996, he began his first advertising campaign, which he photographed himself. Now, nearly two decades later, a NARS shop will finally open at 413 Bleecker Street, featuring items exclusive to the store. The boutique won’t officially open until Spring 2011, although the announcement comes hot on the heels of other anticipated shop openings in the neighborhood.

Creatures of Comfort now has a brand-spanking new SoHo outpost, in addition to its L.A. flagship. Owner Jade Lai opened the store at 205 Mulberry Street, a former police precinct. In addition to labels like Isabel Marant, Alexandre Herchcovitch and Zero Maria Cornejo, Creatures of Comfort offers in-store exclusive collabs with VPL, United Bamboo, among others. Additionally, Etro will open a new SoHo store in February 2011 on 89 Greene Street, nestled near Chanel, Burberry, Longchamp and Diesel. And attention, SoHo celeb-stalker types: The Kardashian's Dash boutique will welcome itself to the neighborhood at 119 Spring Street. Chic!
