La Ville Lumiere
(PARIS) The Place Vendôme swarmed with traffic last night, as guests attended the Valentino after-party at the brand's atelier to celebration of the Spring/Summer Haute Couture show, which showed earlier in the evening at the Couvent des Cordeliers. Kate Moss held a dueling bash across the Place at the Ritz for her new line of Longchamp bags. Champagne-seeking guests, of course, were happy to pass back and forth. Moss even donned a black lace Valentino number for her own party. The dress was already fairly mini, but the super broke out the scissors to add a personal touch to the frock, and suddenly, it became ultra short.
Carlos Souza masterminded Valentino's the dizzying revelry. Smartly dressed attendees (and you can guess what they were wearing) included Margherita Missoni, Charlotte Casiraghi, Delfina Delettrez, Shala Monroque, Filippo Sanguinetti and Bianca Brandolini. Every soul was left satiated after a celebratory Italian supper of risotto with parmesan cheese. Guests balanced their flutes of champagne and glasses of red wine as they laughed and conversed, and the truly thirsty imbibed a Russian Vodka (or deux). DJ Julio Mario Santo Domingo spun tunes until well past the midnight hour...but for the most loyal revellers, the evening didn't end until nearly 4 a.m.. Looks like the Valentino lifestyle shows no signs of slowing...
