When Chic asked designer Cynthia Rowley to be a contributor, she was inspired by Diana Vreeland's famous Bazaar column, "Why Don't You...", in which the editrix offered offbeat and amusing suggestions to readers. One famous offering: “Why don't you...wash your blond child's hair in dead champagne as they do in France?”. Every week, Cynthia will sketch a different "unusual" invention that she'd produce "if only" she had the time. Her first project: a multi-purpose baby onesie, made of soft bristles with scrubby surfaces along the hands and footies of the garment. While baby crawls, it cleans. Genius.
