Frozen in Time
Designer Jaeuk Jung’s latest creation launches us back to our high school science class days, where we would examine preserved insects in amber (remember?). The Amber Chair doesn’t exactly look inviting to sit on, but it’s certainly intriguing to look at. The woven chair by furniture manufacturer Thonet is embedded in a resin and frozen in time forever. Safely protected by polymer, there’s no need to worry about this piece risking any every day wear and tear.
