Fashion's Yentl
Time took a little, ahem, time to get to know Casey Legler, a woman who happens to be a male model at Ford. Do we have your attention? The French native entered the modeling world this summer when her friend, the photog Cass Bird, invited her at the last minute to participate in the role of a man for a photo shoot for Muse mag. Shots from the shoot were shared with an agent at Ford, and the next day, Legler was invited to sign a contract to work exclusively from their male roster. “This is a unique little moment that fashion is allowing to have happen,” Legler explains to Time. She's expected to walk in Paris and New York shows early next year.
