2010 March 4
What a day! I was picked up around 8:15 a.m. and headed down to the Victoria’s Secret store in SoHo for the launch of the new Body by Victoria collection. The minute I got to the store I sat down to enjoy a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich from Starbucks (YUM). I always feel better and more energized with a good breakfast in my stomach! A few tweets to fans during hair and make-up to let them know what I was up to for the day and I was ready to start interviews and the photo op with Rosie (Huntington).
Next stop was Stylecaster. I love all the new media and blogs! It was great! I got to wear one of my favorite new designers, Cusnie et Ochs. It was a sexy black skirt with a black top and sequined silver sleeve, VERY SEXY. We did a couple interview questions and I got to give my favorite travel destinations in my home country of Brazil and made plenty of new friends at the studio.
Next stop was the Associated Press. Everything is always back to back when you do a VS press day but I love it! Another round of questions and a another cute outfit by Cusnie et Ochs, this time a grey wool symmetrical dress.
Following the interviews, I snuck out to grab a quick bite to eat before the next event. I stopped by Sarabeth’s on Park for a cream of tomato soup and chips with guacamole which I inhaled in 15 minutes! Recharged and ready to work out, I was off to Equinox for a TV segment and Brazilian butt work-out with my trainer Leandro, who I worked with to get off my baby weight so I could be on the VS runway three weeks after I gave birth! One of my favorite journalists met us there--the one and only AJ Calloway from EXTRA. It’s not easy getting a Brazilian butt, you really have to work for it! AJ tried to keep up with the workout but the kickboxing and Latin dance were too much for him to handle. :)
After our workout it was off to the Victoria’s Secret store on Lexington Avenue for a blogger event and a quick afternoon snack. They had cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery and I just couldn't resist grabbing one. Hey…I like to eat healthy most of the time, but every girl has to allow a little splurge every now and then!
The last event of the day was an autograph signing with fans back at the Lexington Avenue store. A long day of press and exercise built up an appetite so beforehand a dinner of sushi, miso soup and edamame was most definitely in order!!!! I always love autograph signings because it gives me the chance to speak with all my amazing fans. They have showed me so much love and support throughout my career and I am extremely grateful.
At 8 p.m. my day finally wrapped. All in all I had a lot of fun and felt honored to be a part of a campaign that was all about loving your body! Catching a flight to Paris, look for me and a couple other Angels on the runway of Giles ;)
