The Couture Club Expands
It's the news we've all been anxiously awaiting...The Commission de Classement Couture Création (surely you know it!) has awarded haute couture appellation to Alexis Mabille and Maison Martin Margiela. It's official! The criteria to get into the cool kids club includes the number of garments shown, the atelier's size, meeting standards for bespoke and handmade pieces, and showing two collections per year. It also helps if you have a really nice smile. Last year Giambattista Valli was granted early acceptance for the haute couture appellation.
