Christie's Very Blue Period
The Paris Theater, which seems like it's been showing The Artist exclusively for the last year, enjoyed a shot in the arm Thursday night, when La Mer and Oceana teamed up with Christie's for a screening of a new film, La Revolution Bleu, which chronicles the development of Yves Klein's storied "FC1" painting. (It's on the block at Christie's in a few weeks, and is expected to fetch over $30 million, breaking the world record for the artist.) Oceana ambassador January Jones was on hand to introduce the film alongside Christie's CEO Steven Murphy. Oceana's longtime partner La Mer sponsored the event to build buzz for World Ocean's Day (June 8). Joshua Bell, Anh Duong, Lydia Fenet, Susan Rockefeller, and a maribou-clad Dr. Lisa Airan were among the many on hand to cocktail post-show at Casa Lever (provided the petit sac of popcorn didn't suffice).
