50 years ago today in 1962, Sean Connery uttered quite possibly one of the most memorable introductions in film history ("Bond. James Bond.") for the very first time on screen in Dr. No. spawning a theatrical phenom that's the longest running cinema franchise...and also continues to enthrall audiences even today—Skyfall, anyone? In honor of Ian Flemming's iconic 007, not only is it "Global James Bond Day" but EPIX is featuring Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007, a documentary focusing on the three men who brought the man to life: Flemming, and producers Albert "Cubby" Broccoli and Harry Saltzman. Chicaholic got a sneak peek of the flick at its MoMA premiere where celebs like Chris Noth and Chase Crawford mingled amongst some of the fashion flock: Kate Upton, Solange Knowles, Julie Henderson and Monika Chiang. Perhaps because Vanity Fair was co-sponsoring? Hmmm... But the best red-carpet moments came with actual Bond Girls including Octopussy's Maud Adams (eternally gorgeous) and the reunion of Carrie Lowell with License to Kill co-star Robert Davi (he even tweeted about it!). But enough about the scene, it's a must-see for any true Bond afficianado. The insider details of all the dramas from Flemming's battles with Kevin McClory over the rights to Thunderball to Connery's notorious falling out with Broccoli (fear not they eventually reconcile), director Stevan Riley spins an intriguing story--one that Flemming could've dreamed up for a novel itself. Bonus? All the interviewees including Bonds of years past: Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Daniel Craig...and Bill Clinton? Yes, even Bubba makes an appearance. And beyond the big names are the producers' family and a slew of other friends who really dish!

But any Chicaholic knows that it's Bond's consummate "Martini. Shaken. Not stirred." that proves to be our favorite phrase. So queue up the docu on EPIX  and shake up one of your own. Here's the official recipe from the first novel Casino Royale's chapter seven, also known as The Vesper.

"Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?"
