Chic Must-See: "Sleep No More"

After selling out to devoted crowds across the pond, Punchdrunk Theater Company's Sleep No More, an immersive and tres trippy theater experience like no other, has set up shop in NYC. With an ultra-stylish roster of attendees like Diane von Furstenberg, Joan Rivers, Tyra Banks, Amy Adams, Paz de la Huerta, and Julian Schnabel (et brood), no wonder it's already selling out. Set in the fictional, gorgeously (and darkly) imagined McKittrick Hotel in Chelsea, it's a modern tweak on Shakespeare's Macbeth. The audience dons eerie white masks and gropes through an elaborate labyrinth of over a hundred rooms (including a graveyard, blood-spattered boudoirs, a doctor's office and other environs that conjure up the aesthetic of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest...) at one's own pace. Since Sleep No More's March 7 premiere, other fabulous folk getting sleepless (yes, the show is a tad haunting!) have included Amanda Palmer, Kevin Spacey, Darren Aronofsky, Kim Cattrall and Liev Schrieber.  The show's run has been extended to May 14, but we have a feeling this is sticking around for a long time to come.
