Chic Edibles: Ladurée For Lanvin!
Things that make Chic happy: Ladurée and Lanvin. Even happier: an excuse to partake in both. Happiest of all? A limited-edition collab between the macaron masters and the infectiously playful mind (and palette!) of Alber Elbaz, gave Chic an excuse to trek up Madison last eve in pursuit of getting our paws on the bubblegum-flavored delectables. Obviously, the idea was a childhood-inspired whim of Elbaz's, tracing back to his adoration for the pink chewy stuff as well as a good macaron. Why not combine 'em? The tasty morsels, which dropped late last month and can be all yours for $28 a box, come in pretty hues of pink, coral, and lilac, and are quite delish, even if you're not a massive bubblegum fan. (This is Laduree we're talking about, after all.) A slew of Alber adorers and macaron junkies, including Reed and Delphine Krakoff, Lucky's Alexis Bryan Morgan, Olivia Chantecaille, and Ladurée's main lady, Elisabeth Raberin, were on hand for the grand sampling.
