Designer Reece Solomon showed off her new line of handbags, Reece Hudson, in a fourth-floor private apartment overlooking Lafayette Street on Thursday. “Last year we had five styles in only one color," said the designer. "But this season, we expanded. I was inspired by Rick Owens' colorways, but I wanted it to be natural.” What is bold is the mixing of materials. “I’m really into textual contrast,” Solomon explained while detailing plans to grow the line even further.
