The CFDA and Vogue Raise Big Bucks for Sandy
Finally some good news with the word "Sandy" in it! The CFDA and Vogue announced today that their Fashion For Sandy Relief initiative raised $1.7 million. All proceeds will benefit the Mayor's Fund to Advance NYC and other relief organizations in the tri-state area. The bucks came courtesy of the whopping 150 luxury items that were auctioned off on Charitybuzz.com thanks to decidedly plush donations. A stay at Donna Karan's home in Turks and Caicos, perhaps, or lunch with Diane von Furstenberg? Also on offer: swimming lessons with Ryan Lochte, and tea with Grace Coddington. Nice work!
