Bonjour, Bond Street
Solange Azagury-Partridge's new Bond Street flagship is yet another signal that this once-indie designer is firmly entrenched in the majeur leagues of international jewelers. Why else would Azagury-Partridge ditch her old stomping grounds in indie haven Notting Hill to join the likes of Cartier, Tiffany, and Van Cleef & Arpels in the heart of Mayfair? The 1,600 square-foot store will draw plenty of foot traffic from luxury-loving locals and tourists, but will this designer's original rock-and-roll crowd (and vibe) stay true to the Labelux-owned brand? Let's not forget she opened on Madison Avenue last year, and another retail location is set to bow on Rodeo Drive this fall. Fret not—her Bond Street outpost will feature a "private member's club" to keep the riche and famous coming back, and back, and back. On espère!
