What's in a Name, Graydon?
The Beatrice Inn 2.0 may've opened its doors for Calvin Klein's NYFW din, and friends and family resys are set for next week, but there's legal heat brewing for Graydon Carter and his latest resto endeavor, darlings. Page Six is reporting that Sevigny claims the Beatrice name was not properly transferred to Carter, with Sevigny hoping to recoup $500,000 out of this intellectual-property issue. A potential hiccup? The Inn was in biz as an Italian resto for decades before Sevigny's clubby redux. A quick recap, for any fashionettes with amnesia and/or off the grid during the late-2000s: Much to the dismay of the likes of Kate Moss, the Olsens, and Kirsten Dunst, Paul Sevigny shuttered shop in 2009 due to neighbor complaints and headed west to open L.A.’s Smoke & Mirrors and pop-up Paul & André. Stay tuned for the outcome of the title tribulations.
