Meet Art Basel's Unidentified Grafffiti Artist
Attention collectors and dealers! Up-and-coming street artist Alec Monopoly took to the, uh, streets during Art Basel. The unidentified spray paint connoisseur stopped into Flaunt Magazine's Basic Space dinner at the Mondrian Hotel this weekend to check out a presentation by Matthew Stone and sip Marquis Vodka cocktails. What else was Alec Monopoly up to besides gallivanting around galleries alongside Lady Victoria Hervey? He spent the week tagging blank Miami walls, painting live pieces at some of Art Basel’s most exclusive events, getting artsy with Karolina Kurkova at the Avant Gallery, and presenting a personalized painting to rapper and music video director A$AP Rocky at the Rec Room at Gale Hotel. All in a day's work, people.
