Are Spring Must-Haves Already Gone?

Clearly, the warm weekend weather coaxed many an AmEx card out of its Valextra hiding space, because Chic dropped by Bergdorf Goodman yesterday, and c'était blindé. Our mission? To procure one of Prada's PVC bags OR lucite-heeled shoes. Oh, Patrizio—there were none of the aforementioned bags at BG, but there were a wealth of shoes, including the bejeweled psuedo-wedges with a price tag hovering around $1,000. Several popular sizes are sold out. And—could it be?—the fabulous Chanel salesfolk at BG insisted that the Kaiser did not do clear plastic this season. (Also: No more clogs. Get 'em while you can!) Oh! Off to the Prada boutique on 5th and 57th. Four styles of PVC bag are available, ranging from $995 for the clutch to around $1,500 for the structured style with the crystal clasp. Unfortunately, Miuccia didn't do one in a moderate size, so it's either grand or petit, if you can manage. Oh! Off to MiuMiu. No PVC there, either—and the naked-lady print that's all over March and April issues is already gone. In fact, most of the prints from Spring 2010 are already disparu. Bonne chance, shoppers.
