When the party promises a performance by Gossip, that’s a key indication that the evening will draw a colorful crowd. Last night was no exception, when revelers filled the Hiro Ballroom at the Maritime Hotel to see Beth Ditto take to the mic for Paper’s 13th annual Beautiful People Party, sponsored by Steve Madden. Guests sipped on mini bottles of champers and shuffled downstairs to the stage in order to secure a front-and-center spot for the musical portion of the evening. The glossy features their favorite ridiculously good looking faces including Prabal Gurung, the Ohne Titel ladies and Adam Lambert, and the evening’s theme had guests thinking about the other beautiful things in life, as opposed to just pretty pouts and superfit bodies. “Macaroons are beautiful!” Timo Weiland declared. “I absolutely love them; especially the ones with a colorful, delicious filling.” Brie Larson of United States of Tara laughed, “I think beautiful things are anything new, fresh and sparkling. So on the top of my beautiful list? That would be babies, cucumbers and glitter.”
