Adieu to News Corp.'s The Daily
Quelle surprise! This morning, News Corp. issued an R.I.P. of a press release about the shuttering of (the other) The Daily, that iPad-exclusive media outlet that launched in February 2011. "Unfortunately, our experience was that we could not find a large enough audience quickly enough to convince us the business model was sustainable in the long-term," Rupert Murdoch said in a company statement. Expect the title's brand and staff to get somewhat integrated to The New York Post. A silver lining to the situation: less confusion in terms of titles, non?
