A New York State of...Something
Homesick? Not yet. But that didn’t stop the Americans currently holing up in London from banding together for an evening for a "New York, New York"-themed fete at London restaurant/bar Sketch. A neon sign in the entryway commanded, Jouez! (That means "play," loves.) And so you did--including Scott Schuman and girlf Garance Dore, who nestled in a VIP corner, behind a velvet rope, flanked by a bodyguard. How times have changed! Even an inconsistently open bar or banker-types lingering after their post-work drinks couldn’t dampen the mood. The scene? Manhattan's chronic club-goers, from the Misshapes to Peaches Geldof, fashion fixtures like Kate Lanphear and Keegan Singh, and a few other "veeps," as the Russians say. Don't they have one of these in Paris, too?
