Party at Bloomies! Last night, the retailer debuted its new "Loyallist" reward card program with spinning deejays, feather boa photo opps, and most importantly, sale racks. Meanwhile, Derek Lam and a chic coterie of mods descended on the second floor for the in-store launch of 10 Crosby. Before indulging in lavender-colored cupcakes and matching manis, Chic chatted with the street-wise designer.

What's the story behind 10 Crosby?
It's the street address for our office!

What's your favorite haute spot on Crosby Street?
There's an amazing tea shop a block from me called In Pursuit of Tea, or Cha. I try everything there.

Wall Street: [laughs] One percent.

Hollywood Boulevard: I don't know that street.

Bleecker Street: What a great street!

Castro Street in San Francisco: There's an amazing old-time theater there called The Castro Theatre.

I'm more into The Mamas and the Papas. It's all about "California Dreaming."
