New York, qui? It's already time for London Fashion Week, darlings. Across the pond, we caught up with Maki Aminaka LöfvanderMarcus Wilmont of Aminaka Wilmont. Behold and le dish!

The collection was beautiful.
MW:
One of the main key points of inspiration was Cormac McCarthy’s The Road, because it was all about the aftermath of catastrophe and how you find beauty when everything’s stripped away.
So apocalyptic fashion, basically.
MW:
It’s an overused word, but yeah. We were really trying to focus on what it’s like when you have to find the heart of things rather than just the surface.
What’s the balance of power between the two of you? How do you work together?
MW:
We do pretty much everything together. We fight a lot!
ML:
That’s what causes all the fights, because we both do everything. Everything!
MW:
It’s good to have someone you can go backwards and forwards with.
How did you start working together?
MW:
She actually gave me my first job! A long time ago. She was working for a London designer and she was in charge of hiring. It worked out pretty well!
Your brand is kicking off London Fashion Week. Are you looking forward to seeing anything else?

MW: To be honest, we never see the shows.
ML: We never have time! We usually show toward the end of fashion week, so we’re always working up until then. This is the first time we’ve been at the beginning!
MW: But now it’s time to get ready for Paris!
