Roberto Coin flew across the globe for a quick drop-in at Bloomingdale's. Pourquoi? To meet 'n' greet his customers and help them shop for their next set of jewels, gems, and sparkly whathaveyou. Chic caught up with the Italian jeweler last night to talk about his jet-set lifestyle.

Did you really fly here just for the night?
I love to travel! I have been in 103 countries in my life, and every year I usually visit around 30 or 40 countries. But the country I still love the most is my own.

What are your favorite Italian hot spots?
Italy is over 2,000 years old, and everybody has invaded us at some point so there are many different cultures. I love Sicily for one reason, and I love Naples for another, and you know Tuscan is a master delight.

Any places in particular?
I like to go into the mountains in the North of Italy. It's all about walking, eating, and fresh air.

What do you like to do on the plane?
During flights I sketch a lot, and I do a lot of reading. I can’t sleep on planes.

When was the last time you slept?
Well, I only sleep 4 or 5 hours every day. I can go about 4 or 5 days without sleeping. It's all about mind power...I have a lot of mind power.
