The Daily caught up with the friendly faces behind Jena.Theo: Jenny Holmes and Dimitris Theocharidis. The duo chatted about their recent collaborations, the inspiration behind their latest collection (titled Silent Modes) and their love of old school glamour. Behold!

What does Silent Modes mean, first of all?
Jenny: Silent Modes is sort of a thing from the artist. We collaborated with an artist, O.Two, who did all the prints, then we applied them to our shapes. It all harks back to silent movies, the 20th century, trying to celebrate everything starting from the silent movies up until the 50s—and then we have a little bit of the ‘80s to get a kind of graphic edge in.
Dimitris: We referenced Charlie Chaplin and Ginger Rogers.
Jenny: We just wanted to bring back a bit of old-school glamour, I guess.

What did the words say that were printed on the pieces?
Jenny: One of them is Catch Hell, which is a reference to our last collection, then there was Rolling Drums, which is about beats and music.

How has your life changed since winning the Fashion Fringe prize last year?
Jenny: We’re poorer! Everything goes into the collection, basically. But it’s amazing, because every day we get to be creative, and that’s something that we always want to do.
