Formerly head designer at Patterson J. Kincaid and SNT Workshop, Diana Ra has gone indie with her d.RA line. The vibe? Diana’s airy laid-back style, concocted in a beautifully femme color palette. The Otis grad began her fashion career on the corporate side of the biz with Lucky and Arden B. before her aforementioned design stints, followed by the awesome opportunity to do her own line, thanks to a little help from her fam. Since Black Friday madness has come and gone, and holiday shopping mania is officially in full swing, darlings. We asked the designer to share a couple key gifting tips, culled from her 10-plus years of industry experience:

1. Start with your favorite store and work your way down. That way, if you spend all your money at your favorite store, then at least it was your favorite!
2. For the person who has everything, you have to be a lot more creative when holiday shopping.
3. Look for sentimental gifts. Especially for that person who has it all.
4. The best places to shop for EVERYBODY on your holiday list are Barney's and Gilt Groupe. Gilt puts together such interesting sales, especially for kids and jewelry.
5. Brighten up your holidays by investing in tons of bling like a bling-ed out necklace, perfect to pair with any outfit.
